This little guy has more 'cat
tracks' than a litter pan! No wonder he took so long to arrive! He was due April
29th, the same day as Shadow, so we were getting a bit worried. But he was sure
worth the wait! He's put together right and is straight, strong
and a very quick learner. He is definitely going to be an eye-catcher!
Digger
has a Champion pedigree... 5 Time APHA National Champion Q Ton Eagle is just off
his papers, and Doc Bar, Poco Bueno and AQHA's # 1 Leading Sire of Champions,
Two Eyed Jack, are all in his 5th generation. With these great horses plus Hall of
Famers - Three Bars, Poco Bueno, King, Leo, Joe Reed II, Joe Reed, Plaudit, Joe
Hancock, Royal King, Sugar Bars, plus Sirlette and Skipper W.
With his pedigree and conformation, Digger should make an
awesome stallion prospect!
Update:
Digger has been tested and is
homozygous for the tobiano gene (TT). That means that he will always sire a
colored foal. He also tested homozygous for the Agouti gene (AA). When bred to a
sorrel or chestnut mare, you will always get a sorrel or chestnut tobiano foal,
but when bred to a black-based mare, the foal will be either bay or brown in the
absence of any color modifying genes in the mare. He will never sire a black.
