Haircut Days...
Jethro
arrives...2003 
"Jethro" was born October 14th, 2003. He is full of spunk! Don't adjust your browser...the yellow in the pictures is supposed to be there...just not on the ears and legs, etc. I had a problem with the Betadyne bottle but there is no doubt that little Jethro's umbilical stump was sterilized. (Everyone in our house is happy I am not a nurse!) We have a lot of fun and Jethro is certainly entertaining! I think the best times are the first few days, when they haven't gotten all their Mom's orders down pat. Poor old Sophie runs right behind him shaking her head from side to side. She actually pushes her babies ahead to learn to come to us ... I think she's looking for babysitters! When naptime comes along, she just gives us "The Look"... interpreted means, "Wake him and you're dead!" Sophie is an excellent mother and we find it fascinating to watch her with her babies. Many behaviors are similar to horses, but many are very different. It's a nice way to start the day, when a little guy runs up to you and wags his tail in exchange for a scratch!

"Gidget" was our Mother's Day gift. She was born May 11th, 2002 at 11:30 pm. Since we were there at her arrival, she has totally bonded with us. She is a real character with a personality all her own!
Willy
was our first baby. He was born October 4th, 2000.
