Welcome to our 'just for fun' page! We have always wanted miniature donkeys...
and so we'd like to share our pictures with you. Thanks for taking the time to look!

"TINY TRINKET OF WEE BRAY" aka "SOPHIE" is a Foundation Registered Miniature Grey-Dun jennet. She is just 31 1/2" tall. Sophie believes that she runs the place...and she may be right! She usually gets free run of the barn, even though she has a new pen. She doesn't think much of rain and bad weather. She will not hesitate to step up into the tack room, if the door gets left open, and help herself to whatever is edible. Oats are stored in large Rubbermaid containers, but the cat food is usually readily available. It is left out for "the barn cats" (you know the ones who are supposed to catch and eat mice). She thinks cat food is okay munching...like popcorn! So, since we are pretty sure cat food can't be a healthy choice for donkeys, and it costs more than oats...we now have a cat door on the tack room - the Donkey Kitchen is CLOSED!

"SPICE GIRLS FARM MEADOW RUE"
Reg. # CDJA [CAN] 4822
aka 'Rue' ... sometimes 'Ruprick' ... for when he's acting goofy and sometimes even 'Houdini' when he's found wandering around the outside of his pen! He is a talented escape artist!
He is 29" of attitude! He is very friendly and loves attention, and he knows he's pretty special... BUT he doesn't know he's small. He has managed to escape from his pen on several occasions and herds the "big boys" about! Talk about an ankle biter! He is a nice rich dark brown- almost black. His sire is Feather Ridge's Bravo by Red Baron and his dam is a granddaughter of Little Motown.

It is with
great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear little jack,
"JACK
BE NIMBLE of POPLAR FARMS" aka "TUCKER".
He was a lot of fun and had so much
character. Tucker will be missed for sure as he always had something to 'bray'
about. But before he died, he did his job and Sophie now have a bouncing baby
boy ...Tucker Too! He is just like his dad !

THE STORY OF THE DONKEY’S CROSS
“Bring me the colt of a donkey” was the Master’s request.
A young donkey was brought to Jesus to carry him into Jerusalem.
A week later Jesus was ordered crucified.
The little donkey so loved the Lord that he wanted to help him carry the cross.
But alas, he was pushed away. The sad little donkey waited to say goodbye
until nearly everyone had left. As he turned to leave, the shadow of the cross
fell upon his back and shoulders. And there it has remained as a tribute to the
loyalty and love of the humblest of God’s creatures.
