Sierra's sire is
Royal Apache Tears.
This really
shows what nice loud color
he can help produce
when crossed with
Eloquent Chick,
a bay frame overo.
By breeding a
tobiano to a frame
overo, we increase
our chances of
getting toveros and
also the highly
desired 'medicine
hat' and 'medicine
bonnet' patterns.
These medicine hat
horses were
cherished by the
Native American
tribes as they
believed they had
special powers. We
don't know about
that, but we do know
that Sierra's older
sister and brother
have stolen the
hearts of their
owners!
Sierra is a full
sister to
Lovin R Royal
Chianti (2004)
and
Royal Apache Twist
(2007). Their owners
have kept us updated
as they have grown
and commented of how
easy they have been
to train and on
their sweet
dispositions. You
can expect that
Sierra will turn out
as well, given the
same care and
attention.
With the likes of
Poco Bueno, King,
Sonny Dee Bar,
Painted Robin, Go
Man Go, Johnny Dial,
Buck McCue, Top
Deck, Three Bars in
addition to Leo,
Royal King, Old Tom
Cat, Steel Bars,
Good, Eternal Sun,
Leolita, Hard Twist
and Cowboy P-12,
Sierra
has all the
ingredients that
make a very correct,
straight and strong
filly and a willing
partner.

this was a 'Sierra
episode' -
Talk about camouflauge! Sierra is pretty hard to see next to her Mom.
At 3 weeks, she is not shy at all.
She stops and makes a nice pose on her way over to check us out.
Ron just reached his arm out so she could catch his scent and she had to come and give him the 'once over'.
"Hmmm... that smells different!" I guess Ron passed inspection cause she just calmly turned and went back to eat with Mom.
