"Turn
N On The Turbo"
aka
"Turbo"
APHA # 907,620
Bay Solid Colt born June 21,
2007
This handsome dark bay colt is the image of
his sire, Lovin R Poco Royal, when he was
born. We think Turbo is nicely put together and should be quite athletic. He
is quite curious and alert - the first one to see us coming and then he has to
come and check us out! He is going to be weaned and then halter trained at the
end of September. We are looking forward to working with him and we are pretty
sure that he will be ready to go to a new home mid October.
Turbo sports a nice little star and
has one hind sock. It is too bad
that he didn't get the color, but the one thing
that we have learned over the years, is that solid colored horses always look clean!!!
If you are looking for a good
cowhorse or reining prospect, come have a look. He has a beautiful head and good
over-all conformation. He will mature about 14.2HH. His pedigree speaks for
itself - his bloodlines include 20 AQHA Hall of Fame horses plus many Champions
and NMR Hall Of Fame Horses.
Poco
Bueno, Doc Bar and Sonny Dee Bar are just off his papers in the 4th generation.
Crosses include 6 x Poco Bueno, 11 x
King, 12 x Three Bars, 7 x Leo, Doc Bar, Royal King, Sonny Dee Bar, Jet
Deck, Moon Deck, Joe Reed, Triple Chick, Eternal Sun, and Painted Joe and
many more.
Update January 12, 2008-
Turbo has been
haltered daily and spends his days outside. He is very quick to learn. He never
misses a thing and while we walk out to the corral, you can almost see him
taking notes on everything that is going on. We should have called him Radar as
he is just very tuned in to what and where everyone is. He is not a laid back
colt, but not really spooky either. He knows the safest place is right next to
us, so if he does get spooked he only does a bit of a jump straight up and down
- no pulling away to run. We try to get our foals to look at what ever scares
them and we go and check things out together. It builds their confidence and
trust, not only in themselves. but in us as well. Turbo has become the 'Top Dog'
in his little group of friends and has managed to keep that position for quite
some time. He is a real nice colt and has a lot of potential - don't pass him by
because he didn't get the color. That's the only thing he missed out on! I
have not added new photos as Turbo is in his winter coat.

We will be adding more photos - so
